The state where everything flows

What state do we reach our peak performance in?

It’s called flow.

It’s a mental state of maximum concentration, total immersion and enjoyment in what we do. A concept introduced by psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi that describes that moment when everything clicks… and we perform at our very best.

But how do you achieve it?

Through high levels of concentration.

And this is where something interesting happens: it doesn’t only depend on yourself. It also depends on your environment… and the people you interact with.

Great interviewers, for example, have the ability to bring you into that state.

To make you think better. Express yourself better. Flow.

Last week I was lucky enough to experience it firsthand.

Anna Rodríguez, from La Vanguardia, achieved it during an interview about my recent book: Work like a Nordic, Live like a Mediterranean.
